Secrets? What secrets?

Sunday's news story was about a leak to the New York Times concerning a secret order Bush approved in 2004 to hunt down Al Qaeda wherever they may be.

Now, who might have leaked this story and why?

Thursday, Rahm Emanuel agreed to become Obama's Chief of Staff. You all know Emanuel; on the board of directors at Fannie Mae when the SEC filed a complaint that FM misrepresented profits from 2000-2002. The Fannie Mae fiasco is considered by some economists to be the beginning of the economic meltdown. Obama received over $126K in contributions from Fannie Mae second only to Chris Dodd.

Rahm is the son of Benjamin Emanuel, a member of the Zionist terrorist group, Igrun. There's that word again. It just follows O everywhere he goes. When Rahm accepted the staff position Thursday, his father told Ma'ariv, "Obviously he will influence the president to be pro-Israel. Why wouldn't he? What is he, an Arab? He is not going to clean the floors of the White House."

Racist much? Oops, there's that other word.

Rahm Emanuel is known for getting things done in D.C. And for leaks.

Now why?

Maybe in hopes that other countries will complain- loudly- that the U.S. invaded them without their knowledge. Then, O can 'talk' to them and promise never to do it again.

Obama to Explore New Approach in Afghanistan War
By Karen DeYoungWashington Post Staff Writer Tuesday, November 11, 2008; Page A01

The incoming Obama administration plans to explore a more regional strategy to the war in Afghanistan -- including possible talks with Iran -- and looks favorably on the nascent dialogue between the Afghan government and "reconcilable" elements of the Taliban, according to Obama national security advisers.

"Reconcilable" elements of the Taliban? Yeah well, we can hope, right O?

People Are Stupid

Many years ago, I was given a book. 'Wizard's First Rule' by Terry Goodkind. I don't usually read this type of book, but I was curious about this Rule. Could it be as simple as "Never mix eye of newt with frog ass hairs?" Or possibly the answer to the age-old question "Why am I here?"

And the Rule: "People are stupid. They will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true."

Now think about it. I've never forgotten it, I often repeat it, and every single day I see proof of it's truth. More and more. And it's everywhere, from the checkout lanes to the elections- People are stupid.

I have customers came in for car parts- I ask 'What kind of car do you have?' The answer: "Brown." And they're not joking. I shit ye not.
Then there's the government agencies I have to deal with as a business owner. The IRS insists on using an address we changed 20 years ago. 20 years! Lucky for me the post office knows where I am. They also insist on speaking only to my father. That would be my deceased father, whose name was never on the business anyway. But they will send me a letter, to the wrong address, explaining why. I shit ye not.

And then there is this year's election. Years ago, in the aftermath of 9/11, so may people were afraid that the terrorists would continue their attacks. I doubted it. I didn't think they'd try to take us on directly. They wouldn't stand a chance and they knew it. I thought then that the best way to attack the US was through our political process. Everyone said it couldn't happen, would never happen here. Really?

We have one candidate with a very questionable background. Too many affiliations with persons of known anti-American sympathies. Of course, this is all a coincidence, just ask . Oh wait, you can't ask. That is not allowed.
Question: How can a constitutional lawyer completely ignore the First Amendment?

Then there's the other guy. He co-authored The McCain-Feingold Law. Nope, no 1st Amendment there either.

(Speaking of Amendments, has any one seen The Fourth Amendment lately?)

And then we have our Do-Nothing Congress. A Congress that continually enacts laws that our Constitution clearly states they don't have the power to do. Members who repeated abuse their power, break the law and absolutely nothing happens. But I forget to use my turn signal and it takes three cops to write a ticket. Do a bit of research and check out how many days members are actually in session, what they do when they finally show up. And don't forget they have awarded themselves automatic pay raises. Check out who they receive contributions from and who benefits from their votes. HINT: It ain't you!

I always tell my children and grandchildren about the protests in the 60's. I point out that it's our responsibility to keep our elected officials accountable to us. I was surprised when the American people stood up and shouted to Congress regarding the bank bailout. I never thought to see it again. But I fear that that was it. People will say,' Well, we tried, but they didn't listen. We blew our wad, now it's nap time.'

No election in my voting life has affected me as this years does. I truly think we are headed in a very dangerous direction. This country was founded on independence, individual freedom. Yet everyday our elected officials chip away at that freedom. Chip hell, more often they take a big ass chunk.

When was the last time you read the Constitution? Here's a link- use it!

I believe in the Constitution of the United States. I believe the Constitution IS the United States.
And I believe that before you know it, our Constitution will just be a museum piece that kids see on field trips.
